South Sudan Native Visits Fifth Grade

posted Jan 25, 2016, 9:19 AM by Seth Cole
Bazia Antoni, a native of South Sudan who now lives in Maine, spoke to Mrs. Sheldon and Ms. Voltaire's fifth grade classes on Monday, January 25. The students have been reading "A Long Walk to Water," a book about South Sudan and the conditions there. Some students have started a group called "Crafts for a Cause" and the money raised from this club will go to South Sudan. The group was originally started by fifth grader Emerson Bouffard.

Bazia came to help the students understand more about life in South Sudan from his point of view.
