Winners of the inaugural Shapleigh School 3D Paper Pine Tree Contest were announced on Monday January 26.

The sixth grade winner is Annika Huntress. The fifth grade winners are Leah Beckwith and Aubrie Murdock. The fourth grade winner is Emerson Bouffard. The Most Creative Use of Recycled Materials winner is fifth grader Torrie Murdock. And Honorable Mention recognition goes to fourth grader Quinn McPherson, and fifth graders Gabriella Mendez and Owen Woollacott. Congratulations winners, and thank you to all who participated!

Help transform the Shapleigh School library for the winter by participating in the inaugural 3D Paper Pine Tree Contest, inspired by Maine's state tree, the Eastern White Pine.

Trees must be original creations of the student, and must be able to stand independently. They may not have decorations on them, and using as many recycled materials as possible is strongly encouraged!

Completed pine trees should be turned in to Mr. Wicker or Mrs. Casey in the library between January 5-16. Winners will be announced on Friday, January 23, and a minimum of one winner per grade level will be awarded.
