Shapleigh Students Shine At Odyssey Of The Mind Worlds!

Six Shapleigh School students are in Iowa for the next four days, showcasing their talents in the 2016 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, hosted by Iowa State University. Students, coaches and chaperones flew from Boston to Minneapolis on Wednesday, May 25, and then drove to Iowa in time to take part in Opening Ceremonies. On Thursday, May 26, both Kittery teams will conduct their first performance, with the "Aesop Gone Viral" Division II team giving their Spontaneous Performance at 2:38pm, and the "Something Fishy" Division III team giving their Problem Performance at 2:57pm.

On Friday May 27, Something Fishy will give their Spontaneous Performance at 1:21pm, and on Saturday May 28, Aesop Gone Viral will give their Problem Performance at 2:24pm. On Sunday, May 28, the party drives back to Minnesota, enjoying time in Minneapolis, before flying back to Boston and driving back to Kittery.

Shapleigh School eighth graders make up the "Aesop Gone Viral" team, and they are: Braeden Cole, David Dewhurst, Zoya El-Badry, Jayce Nielsen and Jayna Wheeler.

The "Something Fishy" team consists of four Traip Academy students, plus Shapleigh eighth grader Will Heffron.
