Shapleigh School librarian Rich Wicker, who will be running in April's Boston Marathon, was featured in the Seacoast Sunday newspaper on January 3.

Wicker, who has worked in the Kittery School Department in several capacities since the 1990s, is running his first marathon for Camp Kita, a camp in Poland, Maine, for children aged 8-17 who have lost a loved one to suicide. Wicker has raised nearly $6,000 towards his personal goal of $10,000, and has a fundraiser at Ruby's Wood Grill restaurant in York, Maine on Friday from 4-8pm.
