Shapleigh School seventh graders participated in Strength Day on Wednesday, December 7. Originated by language arts teacher Nancy Sebert last year, Strength Day is a chance for all seventh graders to show something of their choosing. It's a highly motivating day where students present something they are proud of, and they feel they are good at. Students and adults who work with the seventh graders get to see a different side to the students, and it builds confidence as students self-select their strength. A wide variety of strengths were on display, ranging from athletics, to computer gaming, to artistic designs, and much more. Students showed the characteristics of a SHARK: Strength, Honesty, Attitude, Respect and Knowledge during the presentations.
