Seventh Grade Hosts Career Day

posted May 1, 2015, 8:24 AM by Seth Cole
More than two dozen adults spoke with Shapleigh School seventh graders on Friday during "Career Day". Students heard 30-minute presentations from a wide variety of professionals, with careers spanning from carpentry and nursing, to news broadcasting and software engineering. Students also heard from a lawyer, a firefighter, a carpenter, a videographer, a state police detective, a welder, a dog trainer, an electrician, a costotologist, and more. Students learned about the day-to-day operations associated with these careers, as well as the type of education needed to earn a job in that particular field. Seventh graders had the opportunity to choose which presentations to attend, and were free to ask questions.

A big thank you to everyone that took time out of their day to speak with our seventh graders, and for making our annual Career Day a tremendous success!
