Shapleigh School fifth grader Myles Seckler was victorious in Shapleigh School's Geography Bee, held on Thursday January 11. Sixth grader Emilio Jakubek placed second, while seventh grader and former school champion Conor McPherson finished third. Seckler now will take an online qualifying test in the next three weeks to see if he advances to the state National Geographic Bee, to be held on April 6 at the University of Maine Farmington. Two students from each of Shapleigh's five grade levels competed in the school-wide competition.
