Thursday, May 7 is National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, and to mark the 10th anniversary, an event will be held at the Traip Academy library. "Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities: An Evening of Learning, Support, and Hope" will take place from 6-7:30pm. The event will feature a short film on how childhood experiences affect our future mental and physical health, a parent's story of helping her child with mental illness and substance abuse, and more. Light refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by NAMI Maine, Maine Behaviorial Healthcare, the Choose To Be Healthy Coalition, and the Kittery School Department. All are encouraged to attend this free event. See the attached file for more information.
