Kindness Assembly Held At Shapleigh School

The Shapleigh School held its inaugural "Kindness Assembly" on Thursday, May 16. Some of the students and staff that go above and beyond with regards to being nice were recognized. Each grade had a Prince and Princess of Kindness honored, and out of those 10 students, a King and Queen of Kindness for the Shapleigh School were named: eighth grader Kyle Hope and sixth grader Abigail Bull. In addition, two staff members were recognized for their extreme generosity: ed tech Jen Thayer, and administrative assistant Barb West. Jane Durgin, the Kittery School Department's Special Services Director and Shapleigh's Interim Principal, and guidance counselor MaryBeth Carbine presented the awards. Congratulations to all recipients - you are too kind!
