Hundreds Attend Annual Celebration of Learning

Shapleigh School hosted its annual Celebration of Learning on Wednesday, June 6. Hundreds of students, staff, family and friends roamed the halls and enjoyed samples of student work found in each grade level area. Also, many exhibits were on display, including:

-4-8th grade student artwork on the bulletin board just past the Main Office
-4th grade summertime and springtime murals in hallways around the art room, and Art Show highlights in the cafeteria
-7th grade badmington and 8th grade fitness class video in the gymnasium
-video of the Spring Concert in the music room
-8th grade "instrument making" in the technical education room
-7th grade "infectious disease" brochures, and 8th grade archery video in the gymnasium
-8th grade Spanish work on bulletin boards near Spanish rooms
-Ms. Matty's students' final projects on display in the library
-5th grade "Smorgasboard" of projects by homerooms
-8th grade Student ABC books and speeches in the cafeteria
-6th grade homerooms displaying math cubism art, mystery detective files, border wall brochures, and science exploration projects
-On-going portfolio presentations in 7th grade homerooms
-4th grade homerooms displaying animal research, student treasure books and various other exciting work

The Scholastic Book Fair also took place in the front lobby, the PTA sponsored an ice cream social outside the gym entrance, and Odyssey of the Mind sold pizza, chili and other food in the cafeteria.
