The Shapleigh School fifth grade spent Thursday, October 9th exploring the Mount Agamenticus region in neighboring York. Students and staff followed the Ring Trail West to Witch Hazel, which branches off to the summit. While at the peak, students checked out the observation tower, learned about the various wildlife that lives within the park reservation, and studied the history of the mountain. Students were able to clearly see out to the Atlantic Ocean, despite some clouds and a strong breeze.
