Shapleigh Concert Cancelled, Fifth Grade Band To Play Wednesday

The Shapleigh School's Spring Concert, featuring the fifth grade band and the fourth, fifth and sixth grade chorus, has been cancelled. The concert had originally been slated for Thursday, May 24.

The fifth grade band, however, will still be performing this week, as they will play at the beginning of the Traip Academy Spring Concert on Wednesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. in the Traip Gymnasium. Fifth grade band members will meet in the Traip cafeteria by 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday's concert at Traip kicks off a handful of spring performances for the Shapleigh Music Department in the next three weeks. Other highlights include:
  • Kittery Memorial Day Parade (6th-8th Grade Band Only) - Saturday, May 26, 9 a.m.
  • Shapleigh 6th-8th Grade Band/7th-8th Grade Chorus Spring Concert - Thursday, May 31, 7 p.m.
  • Great East Festival (Springfield, Mass.) - 7th-8th Grade Band, 7th-8th Grade Chorus - Friday, June 1
  • Eighth Grade Promotion (Graduation) - 6th-7th Grade Band Only - Tuesday, June 12, 6 p.m.
