Ten members of Shapleigh's seventh and eighth grade Civil Rights Team attended a training on the ripple effects of culture on Friday, March 9. It was held at Marshwood High School in South Berwick, and led by the Maine Intercultural Communication Consultants. Students explored what culture is and how it impacts their day to day lives and interactions with one another. They discussed ways they see culture impacting their school environment and different student's experiences. Members of Traip Academy's Civil Rights Team also attended the day-long event.
